A Woman Is As Old As She Looks Before Breakfast

My favorite two meals of the day are breakfast and dessert. And since it is still the morning, I will force the dessert idea out of my head. So breakfast. So many breakfast key pieces that rock my world. And with my new year's resolution to eat healthier and less, I have been keeping my resolution and my love for breakfast. I have three breakfast ideas I am dying to share with you.

1. Oatmeal. So I have never like oatmeal but recently I have discovered my passion for it. Except I add my own personal glory.
First Make the Oatmeal, by taking 1/2 cup of oats and 1 cup milk and put it in the microwave for 2 min depending on the strength of the microwave until the mixture has thickened. Then add a tablespoon of brown sugar and stir in, and finally add a handful of Craisins for a tart sweet. It is a healthy idea for breakfast that taste's divine.  (Another variation, if don't like craisins, is to add dried cherries with  some cherry jam, I haven't tried it yet, but I will soon)

2.  Mini Bagel. I looked into the whole Bagel Thins but was dissapointed when i realized that they were $3 for only a couple while the smaller versions of bagels, I got more for my money. So I took one mini bagel and added Garden Vegtable Cream Cheese. With a cup of milk and a banana it is a great way to start the day.

3. Eggs.  After watching 'Runaway Bride' I wondered to myself "What Kind of Eggs do I Like?" Well, I have decided on a simple combination. I like my eggs scrambled with a handful of shredded four cheese blend and a handful of mushrooms.

So whether you like any of my favorite healthy breakfast meals, I am sticking to my resolution and starting the new year off right. I have found major inspiration from "Shape" Magaazine and from my new favorite cook Ellie Krieger. I currently have ordered all of her books from the library and will shortly be  looking through for great recipes, which isn't hard when they all look so good.

A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes

'The Most Important Thing in Life is to is to Learn How to Give out Love and Let it Come In"
Morrie Schwartz

Do you truly believe true love exists? Its an interesting question. Because you automatically admit to yourself, “Yes, Of Course it Exists.” Then you second guess yourself and say well it has to exist, everybody says it does. You wonder is there really that special person for me, or will I just settle for somebody else. Will I end up like those people in movies who are lonely, depressed, and lacking vitality? Because I feel like we all in the back of our minds worry about these things. It might not be a constant reoccurring but I believe everybody is secretly slightly about the possibility of true love. Does it exist? Is it something that is just in movies? Or is it truly possible in real life or will it happen to you? I don’t have any answers. Not any consolation. Just they idea that hopefully it does exist and if you are feeling the same way you are not alone. So hopefully our soul mates are out there.  Sorry to end on a sour note, well not sour, just a little bit on the edge of depressing. Put it out of your mind.

If Life Gives You Lemons, Make A Lemon Slushie

"Everything really great and inspiring is created
by an individual who can labor in freedom"
                           - Albert Einstein

There is something special about quote and what they can do. From famous people to unfamous people, from smart people to the uneducated, all people have something to say. But it is the truly wise people that take what they say and learn from it. Whether that is distinguishing the bad advice from the good advice or learning a new trick or connecting with an idea, the biggest thing we can learn in life is to learn from other people how to live our lives.  I am continually awe struck by quotes, some that make me smile or giggle, some that make me think or some that make me admire the person who is writing it. But I think my biggest goal is to listen. To listen, to understand what they are saying. What a great gift they have given us.

I will stop writing about my strange love of words because yes I admit that I love reading and learning. But the best feeling is when you are reading something and you 100% understand what they are talking about. You just get it. I think that is the most rewarding thing. Gosh, there I go again. Well, I haven't written in a long time. But since it is the new year and all, I guess I should make it my goal to have one post a day. But talking about New Years Resolutions. Boy, do I have a list. I want to learn to sew, to cook more foods, to find those great fashion finds, to work out more, to improve my vocabulary and to not procrastinate. I know a tough and difficult list. But I have a year to do it. Well 365 days - 21 = 344 days.

Eat. Pray. Love.
What did I think of it?  Well over vacation I read the book. My favorite section definitely was the first section the "Eat" section. I mean who wouldn't want to live in Italy and eat amazing food and have good company and friends. But I was  a little lost in the "Pray" section. Meaning that, being a Christian and all, I listened and read it , but i didn't feel the complete need to re-find myself, so I didn't really relate to that all that much. But i read it and observed from a distance, I felt. But the last section made me fall in love with the down to earth character and her boyfriend. So overall I actually liked it. I mean, I am always open for new ideas and I loved the idea of stopping life for a year, taking a step back, and discover one's life again through new eyes.
